«Deftech» - the new podcast on technology forecasting
Artificial intelligence, neurotechnologies and algorithms; How can cognitive threats influence our thoughts and freedom of decision-making, and how can we protect ourselves (and society)? These questions are put under the spotlight in the multi-part «Deftech» podcast series produced by armasuisse Science and Technology (S+T).

The podcast is part of the Technology Foresight programme of armasuisse S+T. The remit of this programme is to identify technological developments and their potential applications at an early stage – both in the interests of Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) stakeholders and also for public use.
This six-part podcast series focuses on the topic of «cognitive threats». Quentin Ladetto, Head of the Technology Foresight programme, and Bruno Giussani, an expert on social issues connected with digital technologies, use the podcast as a platform to discuss the challenges associated with cognitive integrity and the growing uncertainty related to this issue. With the help of a variety of experts, it will provide a comprehensive overview of the threats to which our conscious minds are exposed in the age of computer screens, artificial intelligence (AI) and neurotechnologies. The podcast analyses the underlying mechanisms, their effects on individual people and society, as well as the associated risks, and discusses potential responses.
The French-language podcast is produced by l’Atelier des Futurs as part of a circular foresight strategy and is also available in German and Italian (not available in english).
