Your application documentation

Apply for the apprenticeships we advertise by sending in your complete documentation. This will comprise a covering letter and CV plus school reports and certificates. We look forward to receiving your application!

Inspection of documentation

Documentation received will be inspected by the head of Basic Vocational Training. We will then check your qualifications to see if they match our requirements for the apprenticeship positions. Once your documentation has been inspected, you’ll be told whether you can proceed.

Selection day

You will spend a day together with other candidates solving various group or individual tasks so that we can get to know you a little better. You will already be given some initial information about apprenticeships at armasuisse.

Personal interview

You have been shortlisted for the apprenticeship position. We would like to interview you so that we can get to know you in person. The interview will enable us to clarify all remaining questions.

Job profils

armasuisse offers commercial apprenticeships for the E profile (extended basic education) and M profile (with Vocational Baccalaureate).

The Commercial Apprenticeship and Sport program at armasuisse offers young athletes a flexible solution for the complex challenge of apprenticeship and talent development.

This apprenticeship covers the same topics as a normal E profile commercial apprenticeship, but over a period of four years rather than three. The extended duration allows roughly 25% of work hours to be devoted to sporting activities (training, competitions, tournaments, etc.) and recovery.

armasuisse offers a vocational training in computer science as an application developer or systems engineer.

armasuisse offers a four-year apprenticeship as a physics laboratory technician in the Science and Technology competence sector at our site in Thun.

Ramona Kupferschmied and Joel Gerber both work at armasuisse. This year each of them also earned the Swiss championship title in their respective sports. Apart from their personal performance, they owe much of their success to having a suitable work environment. Ramona and Joel are enrolled in the four-year "Apprenticeship and Sport" program at armasuisse.
