Planner services and competition (monitoring sustainable procurement building construction and civil engineering)
The revised Swiss Federal Act on Public Procurement specifies that the order is now no longer awarded to the most economical bid, but to the most favourable. The assessment thus includes compliance with environmental regulations, the quality and the costs over the entire life cycle, in addition to the cost of acquisition.
Construction work (monitoring sustainable procurement building construction and civil engi-neering)
Criteria for environmental protection, health and resource consumption have long existed in the building industry. The monitoring function «Sustainable Procurement Construction» was launched in 2016 to check sustainability efforts. It covers the procurements for planner and construction services above the WTO thresholds. The Federal Construction and Property Services (BLO), including armasuisse Real Estate, are subject to monitoring.

Orders which have a favourable effect on the employment situation create jobs
Thanks to externally awarded contracts for services, real estate operations or construction projects, 4300 persons have gainful employment.
Expenditure for planning and construction services to local suppliers
armasuisse Real Estate ensures that regional aspects are taken into account appropriately in tenders within the framework of the legal options.
