In the world of navigation, who has never heard of GPS, Galileo, Glonass or other GNSS systems? Despite their excellent services, satellite navigation has numerous weaknesses and vulnerabilities which need to be resolved. New, supplementary approaches to integrate vision, sensor technology, occasional signals, gravity, etc., are being developed to support continuous navigation in the air and on the ground, as well as underground, indoors and under water. What research is being performed in this area and what findings can be derived from it?

The next DEFTECH event on 25 August 2021 revolves around precisely this topic. The event will be organised by the research programme Technology Foresight from armasuisse Science and Technology together with the Swiss Drone and Robotics Centre as well as the Swiss Institute of Navigation ION-CH.

Take this opportunity to present your research and findings in the area of non-satellite-based navigation to an interested audience from the military, research, industry and academia. If you are interested, please contact us by 5 July 2021 using the form below. armasuisse Science and Technology looks forward to your presentation.
