Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG

In keeping with the motto  «Monday is for business, Tuesday is for pleasure», all of the participants travelled to Stans on Tuesday morning, where they visited the Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG armament factory. The visit was kicked off with a company video and a presentation on the company itself. The second part of the programme focused on a tour of the vast production halls and a look at the «static displays», i.e. grounded static aircraft , of the PC-21 and the PC-24. Shortly after midday, we set off to Emmen.

RUAG Aviation

The itinerary for the afternoon was a second company visit, with RUAG Aviation giving those in attendance a look at its facilities. The visit was opened with an introductory presentation, the aim of which was to familiarise the audience with RUAG Aviation. This was followed by a guided tour of the company for the 80 people who had made the journey to Emmen. Those in attendance were also able to observe a training session for the Swiss Air Force’s PC-7 team that took place in the afternoon. Bathed in glorious weather, the skill of the pilots astounded everyone. Despite the average weather, the skill of the pilots astounded everyone. To make sure that this event was not forgotten, cameras were pulled out and photos were taken.
Even the most exciting day must come to an end at some point, and so we all travelled back to Berne together late in the evening.
