The new baggage set 04/05 will be used in the Swiss Armed Forces from 2004.
Material tests and troop trials led to the the procurement decision.
The similarity with civilian receptacles is not accidental: when designing military products, the procurement authority also considered transport habits under civilian conditions.

Prior to the procurement thorough tests with the troops and in the climatic test chamber (Laboratory Spiez) were undertaken.
Since 1996 the armed forces personnel receive this "sleeping system" as personal equipment. From 2004 these articles are pooled and will then no longer be part of the personal equipment (new home collection concept).

The Sleeping Bag 95 consists of:

• sleeping bag made from 100% polyester, machine washable at 40°
• sleeping bag lining made from 100% polyester-fleece, machine washable at 40°

With sleeping bag and lining the body is kept warm for at least 5 hours at minus 15°, without liner for the same time at minus 10°.

In heated closed rooms the sleeping bag lining alone is a sufficient heating source.

The sleeping bag also includes:

• outer cover made from 100% polyester with PVC-coating, serves as protection against the weather

when sleeping in the open air

• PVC-foam pad, offers the necessary isolation against the cold ground

• hospitals
• youth hostels
• sport centers / holiday camps
• refugee quarters
• Red Cross

Such products can be offered at an interesting price / performance ratio. Our quality assurance department sees to it that they comply with the Technical Specifications.
