Alpnach Airbase (OW): New construction and renovation of aircraft hangars

Renovation work on aircraft hangars 2 and 3 as well as groundbreaking for the new hangar 4 take place on 11 May 2012 on the Alpnach Airbase. armasuisse Real Estate, the real estate competence center of the DDPS, will be able to hand over the adjusted infrastructure to the airfield command in autumn 2013. With this development step the entire power used by the airbase will be supplied by solar energy. The total amount the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport DDPS will invest into the Alpnach Airbase with this project comes to CHF 16.25 million.

Combat Training Center West (CTS West) in Bure

In the years 2004-2009 three new buildings for the Combat Training Center West (CTC West) were constructed in Bure. They include the instruction building, which houses the control center and an auditorium seating 200, the equipment building for troops and vehicles, as well as a maintenance hall.
